About the Client:
We're seeking a compassionate caregiver to provide companionship visits for a gentleman currently residing in long-term care at Alexander Place in Watertown. He's a very social person who enjoys watching Wheel of Fortune, Family Feud, baseball, and hockey. He's currently bed-bound following a hip fracture and experiences dizziness when attempting to sit upright, which has limited his mobility. He has some hearing difficulties and memory challenges, but remains engaged and would greatly benefit from regular social interaction. The family visits frequently but recognizes he needs additional companionship during the times they cannot be there.

Schedule:
Two visits per week, 3 hours per visit (6 hours weekly total). Visits will occur on consistent days in the afternoon, ideally starting after lunch around 1:00 PM. The family works shift work and needs coverage on days when they cannot visit. This is a long-term opportunity to build a meaningful relationship with someone who genuinely enjoys company and conversation.

Father is hard of hearing and has hearing aids that need to be put in by nursing staff on visit days. He has memory issues and would benefit from assistance with iPad memory games. He is confined to bed most of the time due to dizziness when sitting up after a hip fracture. He becomes dizzy and sometimes has syncope episodes when transferred to wheelchair. He is social and enjoys watching Wheel of Fortune, Family Feud, baseball, and hockey. He prefers female caregivers. Located at Alexander Place in Watertown - cell service is poor in the building.
