Job summary

SE Health in Clarington is hiring full-time Evening Personal Support Workers for community care shifts. The role includes paid travel time and mileage between clients, and a mobile device is provided.

Qualifications include a valid PSW certificate, RN or RPN, or a Nursing student with two clinical placements, plus a Developmental Support Worker Diploma. A valid driver’s license, immunizations, background check, CPR/First Aid, and flexibility to work days or evenings are required.

Qualifications accepted to work as a PSW:

• Valid Certificate as a Personal Support Worker (PSW)


• RN or RPN


• Nursing student (2 clinical placements completed)


• Valid Developmental Support Worker Diploma


• Foreign trained healthcare professional - Nurse

Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license and vehicle to use for work daily is required


• Meet Immunization requirements – MMR, Varicella, TB and Tetanus


• Current vulnerable sector check (VSC)


• Current Standard CPR level C certificate and First Aid


• Availability to workdays OR evenings and every other weekend


• This is a physically demanding position and requires hand, arm and shoulder dexterity, sensory ability, lifting to a maximum of approximately fifty-five (55) pounds, walking, climbing stairs, standing, bending, reaching, and frequent movement
