Job summary

SE Health is hiring Full Time and Part Time Day/Evening Personal Support Workers (PSWs) to serve Ottawa and surrounding areas in both community and facility settings.

Qualifications

• Valid Certificate as a Personal Support Worker (PSW).
• RN or RPN status or registration.
• Nursing student with two completed clinical placements.
• Developmental Support Worker Diploma or equivalent.
• Foreign trained healthcare professional – Nurse accepted.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support to clients in community and facility settings.
• Assist with activities of daily living and mobility as assigned.
• Collaborate with health team to deliver safe, high-quality care.

Qualifications accepted to work as a PSW:

• Valid Certificate as a Personal Support Worker (PSW).
• RN or RPN.
• Nursing student (2 clinical placements completed).
• Valid Developmental Support Worker Diploma.
• Foreign trained healthcare professional - Nurse.

Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license and vehicle to use for work daily is required.
• Meet Immunization requirements – MMR, Varicella, TB, Tetanus.
• Current vulnerable sector check (VSC).
• Current Standard CPR level C certificate and First Aid.
• Availability to workdaysand every other weekend.
• This is a physically demanding position and requires hand, arm and shoulder dexterity, sensory ability, lifting to a maximum of approximately fifty-five (55) pounds, walking, climbing stairs, standing, bending, reaching, and frequent movement.
