Job description

HUB continues to grow and is seeking a dynamic Personal Insurance Account Manager to join our Windsor, Ontario office. The successful candidate will manage an existing book of business. This role is ideal for a team player who is detail-oriented, enjoys working with people, and is committed to meeting deadlines. The position reports directly to the Manager, Personal Insurance.

What You’ll Do
  1. Manage all aspects of an existing book of business.
  2. Handle incoming and outgoing client queries efficiently, including priority mail such as non-renewals and registered letters.
  3. Meet new business and retention targets, including through re-marketing.
  4. Identify cross-sell opportunities and obtain referrals.
  5. Upsell to existing clients and make regular outreach calls.
  6. Conduct proactive mid-renewal calls to review client information and provide advice.
  7. Respond promptly to customer inquiries, ensuring effective service.
  8. Resolve client concerns and complaints while maintaining service standards.
  9. Update customer data and document interactions.
  10. Maintain knowledge of accounts receivable and underwriting, utilizing portals for policy changes and inquiries.
  11. Assist in training junior team members as needed.
  12. Rate and quote new and renewal personal lines risks.
  13. Stay updated on industry best practices and company procedures through ongoing training and seminars.
Qualifications and Expertise for Success
  1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
  2. 2-3 years of experience in the insurance industry, preferably in Personal Lines.
  3. RIBO license required.
  4. Strong team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  5. Ability to work independently with strong organizational and time management skills.
  6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
  7. Experience with EPIC broker management system is an asset.
