This full-time role involves responding to inquiries, processing insurance policy changes, and cross-selling services. Opportunity to work from Edmonton, Calgary, or remotely for the right candidate.
You have a post-secondary degree or diploma.
You're great with people, preferably in sales and service roles.
You possess better-than-average computer skills - your typing skills up there with the best of them!
You have a strong interest in the insurance industry and want to make it your career.
You posses a Level I or Level II General Insurance License, or a strong motivation to obtain one.
You are n aturally inclined to take initiative independently; you are resourceful and like staying up-to-date.
You demonstrate an “other-focused” approach to people.
You can communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
You are detail oriented, organized, and able to multi-task. You understand the significance of these skills.
You can work at a quick pace under pressure; possess time management skills.
You like people and are willing to serve them with a smile, even when conflict arises.
Assets include experience with Vertafore's SIG BMS, Applied Rating Services (Compuquote), and insurance company portals.
Experience with Aviva, SGI Canada, Peace Hills, Pembridge, MAX, Sandbox (SMI), Portage Mutual, Optimum West, Travelers, and others is an asset.
Sales and service. Managing a book of business, attracting new clients and taking great care of the ones we already have.
Responding to client inquiries regarding insurance coverage, billing issues, claims, and certificates of insurance
Providing quotations for potential policy changes
Re-evaluating appropriate personal insurance coverage on existing lines of business
Processing renewals to ensure retention of existing client relationships
Entering and maintaining client information in the broker management system (Vertafore SIG)
Processing policy changes on insurance company portals
Provide support to sales staff as needed
Cross-selling other First Foundation services to clients
Answering and directing calls and emails to employees of the brokerage
