Bayshore is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Personal Care Attendant to join our team. The successful candidate will deliver exceptional care and support, ensuring client comfort, safety, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  2. Provide homemaking services such as cleaning, cooking, laundry, and household management.
  3. Offer companionship and accompany clients to appointments and activities.
  4. Administer personal care services as per care plans.
  5. Monitor and document client conditions, reporting changes promptly.
  6. Implement infection prevention practices.
  7. Ensure clients' emotional, spiritual, and physical comfort and safety.

Education, Experience, and Requirements
  1. At least 1 year of caregiving experience preferred.
  2. Personal Care Attendant certificate or equivalent is a benefit.
  3. Clear criminal background check with vulnerable sector screening.
  4. Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills; French proficiency is an asset.
  5. Ability to follow detailed care plans and work independently.
  6. Demonstrated compassion, patience, and reliability.

Successful candidates will need to provide:

  1. Two supervisory references.
  2. Criminal record check with vulnerable sector screening.
  3. Proof of negative TB test.
  4. Proof of immunizations against measles, mumps, rubella, Tdap or polio, and varicella.
