Job summary

TD Canada Trust in Newmarket, Ontario is seeking a Personal Banking Associate Trainee to guide customers to the right staff and resolve inquiries about new accounts, investments, and banking solutions.

You'll work on day-to-day customer service, promote digital banking, and support branch operations while meeting regulatory requirements and TD'sCode of Conduct.

This role offers mobility within the assigned district after training and a path to grow within TD's Total Rewards program.

Qualifications

• High School diploma and/or 1+ years of relevant experience.
• IFC or equivalent – post-appointment within 6 months.
• Post-Secondary or Undergraduate degree (in related field) preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook), branch software and internet.
• Knowledge of banking solutions and processes to advise customers.
• A self-starter who works independently in a dynamic environment with strong admin, organizational, planning and time-management skills.
• A dynamic, diligent influencer with initiative to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities.
• A strong communicator with customer experience skills to connect with customers and teams.

Responsibilities

• Engage customers in day-to-day advice, service transactions, and banking solutions.
• Understand customer needs and guide to the right contact while handling confidential matters.
• Build customer confidence in digital banking via mobile, ATM, and online banking.
• Support frontline staff with cash and non-cash transactions and report non-standard matters.
• Recommend improvements to branch operations to enhance customer experience.
• Ensure documentation is accurate and compliant with regulations and TD's Code of Conduct.
