Job summary

CIBC in Ottawa is seeking a Financial Services Representative to foster relationships with clients, understand their financial goals, and tailor service while recommending products to support their financial success. The role is on-site full-time with banking centre hours, including evenings and weekends, and may involve travel between centres.

You will engage clients, build trust, leverage mobile banking and other tech, and work with a team to deliver outstanding client experiences.

Qualifications

• Requires current Mutual Funds License (Canadian Securities Course) or equivalent accreditation.
• 1 year of client-facing experience with sales results; prior banking experience a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Client engagement: meet with clients to understand personal and business priorities, advise on solutions, and provide a forward-looking financial plan.
• Relationship building: grow networks, deepen relationships, and coordinate with team to connect clients with the right contacts.
• Leveraging technology: introduce clients to mobile banking and other tools to manage their banking needs.
