Qualifications

• 1–2 years of relevant experience and/or certification in related field are desirable
• Canada only: Registration to sell investment products completed or in progress (must be completed within 12 months)
• Confident with social media, tablets, smartphones, online tools and applications
• Some experience in consultative customer service or sales with a focus on personal customer experience
• Basic knowledge of specialized sales and business banking solutions to refer to specialists
• Strong willingness to help customers and deliver a personal experience
• Results-focused with ability to thrive in a consultative sales and team-based environment
• Self-starter with courage to approach customers
• Team player who collaborates across branches/ channels
• Strong listening, problem solving and flexible thinking abilities
• Good verbal and written communication and organizational skills
• Strong collaboration and analytical skills

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional service to BMO customers and identify their banking needs
• Collaborate with BMO partners to grow relationships beyond personal banking
• Guide customers in branch and via channels to use digital and self-serve options
• Converse with customers to offer personal banking and investment advice
• Handle transactions accurately and efficiently
• Refine customer profiles and address everyday banking and credit card needs
• Support branch operations including inventory, requests, and procedures
• Act as a key member of a collaborative branch and market team
• Understand customer needs and tailor conversations with marketing promotions
