Job summary

Alberta Health Services in Ponoka seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with operating room and perioperative training to join the surgical team at Ponoka Hospital and Care Centre. You will collaborate with an interprofessional team to deliver safe, high-quality patient care, with shifts that include days and on-call in a casual/relief staffing model.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse education program.
• Active, or eligible for, registration and a practice permit as an LPN with CLHA.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care as part of an interprofessional health care team.
• Support safe, high-quality patient care in the perioperative setting.
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and support staff to ensure smooth surgical procedures.
