Collaborating with an experienced surgical team, the LPN/ORT delivers safe, efficient, and compassionate care throughout the patient's surgical journey. Practice is guided by CLPNA, Operating Room Nurses Association of Canada (ORNAC), and CSA Standards of Practice, with a strong emphasis on hands-on skill, accountability, and evidence-based care. In a rural environment, the LPN/ORT plays an essential role supporting patients before, during, and after surgery and contributing to a culture of safety, respect, and collaboration. Required Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse education program.
• Active, or eligible for, registration and a practice permit as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses and Health Care Aides of Alberta (CLHA).
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of three months experience is required.
• Post-Grad Perioperative Certification required.
• Or completion of a CLPNA approved perioperative course.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with orthopedic, urology, gynecological, obstetrical - delivery/c-sections.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
