Job summary

PepsiCo is hiring a Millwright for our Winnipeg, MB facility. You will maintain and repair plant equipment, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and support installations, changeovers, and upgrades on advanced manufacturing systems.

Required Red Seal Millwright (Industrial Mechanic) certification and a valid journeyperson ticket with Red Seal, plus the ability to work all shifts and overtime as needed. Competitive benefits await in a safety‑mocused team environment.

Overview

The Maintenance Millwright will contribute to the success of PepsiCo by maintaining and repairing plant equipment and mechanical systems within the Winnipeg manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for ensuring equipment reliability, troubleshooting mechanical issues, conducting preventive maintenance, and supporting production through repairs, changeovers, and installations on advanced manufacturing equipment. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the maintenance team to support day-to-day operations while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and productivity.

Compensation

Class 11 Licensed Journeyperson as per union classification ($38.37 - $46.26 per hour)

Shift

All Shifts (Days, Afternoons, Nights) assigned according to the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on production equipment.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical equipment malfunctions.
• Support equipment installations, modifications, upgrades, and changeovers.
• Perform duties involving welding, machining, hydraulics, pneumatics, ammonia refrigeration, plastics manufacturing, material handling, and PLC-controlled equipment.
• Interact with computerized maintenance management systems and parts inventory programs.
• Inspect equipment to ensure proper operation and compliance with manufacturer specifications.
• Provide support and guidance to less experienced maintenance team members as required.
• Complete all work safely and productively while following company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Red Seal Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Certification.
• Valid Industrial Millwright Journeyperson Ticket with Red Seal endorsement.
• Valid 4th Class Power Engineer Certificate or higher preferred.
• Knowledge of machine control systems and troubleshooting techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
• Skilled in the use of machine shop equipment including lathes, mills, grinders, and related tools.
• Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work shifts and overtime as required.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

• Must be able to lift and carry 50-85 lbs.
• Must be able to push and pull up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, climb, and perform physically demanding work throughout the shift.
• Complete all required Safety, Quality/Food Safety, and operational training.
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures while working in a manufacturing environment.
