Job summary

PepsiCo Beverages Canada is seeking a full-time Millwright in Calgary. The role focuses on maintaining and repairing plant equipment in a high‑volume bottling facility, with preventive maintenance and complex repairs to ensure continuous operations.

The ideal candidate holds an Industrial Millwright Red Seal, can troubleshoot electronic and mechanical systems, and will work the night shift from Sunday to Thursday, 9pm to 5:30am, with a night shift premium.

Qualifications

• Must hold an Industrial Millwright Red Seal ticket.
• Pass a technical assessment addressing job-critical maintenance knowledge areas.
• Experience with basic mechanical systems (chains, belts, bearings, etc.).
• Experience with electronics (level probes, flowmeters, drives/VFDs).
• Experience with product manuals and repairs.
• Skilled in machine shop equipment (lathe, mill, grinder).
• Experience with machine troubleshooting and diagnostics.
• PLC experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair plant equipment and mechanical systems.
• Inspect equipment for proper operation and perform preventive maintenance.
• Support day-to-day electrical and mechanical maintenance activities, changeovers and installations.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions and perform complex repairs or adjustments.
• Mentor and support less-experienced technicians.

PepsiCo Beverages Canada - Full-Time Millwright

Compensation:

• This is a full-time position that requires open availability Night Shift.
• $45.70 per hour with full-time hours and overtime opportunities
• Shift: (Sunday to Thursday, 9pm - 5:30am)
• Night shift premium - $1.65 per hour

Responsibilities

The Role:

The Maintenance Millwright is responsible for maintaining and repairing plant equipment and mechanical systems within the Pepsi bottling and processing facility. This role involves inspecting equipment for proper operation and performing mechanical preventive maintenance in accordance with manufacturer specifications. The successful candidate will support day‑to‑day electrical and mechanical maintenance activities, including preventive maintenance, repairs, changeovers, and installations on advanced manufacturing and production equipment. Responsibilities also include troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment malfunctions, performing complex repairs or adjustments, and providing mentorship and support to less‑experienced technicians as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience with basic mechanical systems (e.g., chains, belts, sprockets, bearings, installation, tensioning...)
• Experience with electronics (e.g., level probes, flowmeters, drives/VFDs, etc.).
• Experience with product manuals (e.g., reading and applying knowledge to make repairs).
• Must be skilled in the use of machine shop equipment (lathe, mill, grinder, etc.)
• Experience with machine troubleshooting (e.g., diagnostics, problem solving, etc.)
• Experience with PLC is a plus.
