Job summary

Raise is seeking a senior PeopleSoft HCM Functional/QA Lead for a 10‑month engagement in Toronto. The candidate will provide functional leadership, coordinate design and delivery, and guide QA testing across the OPS HR/Payroll system and related upgrades.

Ideal candidates bring extensive experience with PeopleSoft HCM 9.2+, PUM and PS tools upgrades, and a proven track record in leading functional teams through complex testing cycles and defect management in a client-facing setting.

Qualifications

• Significant knowledge of HR and Payroll functions related to Oracle PeopleSoft 9.2+ HCM applications and integration points (onboarding, benefits enrolment, life events).
• Experience leading functional teams through analysis, design and configuration for entire project lifecycle.
• Experience leading functional tests, system integration, load, performance, UAT, and payroll parallel testing for PeopleSoft HCM.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior functional expertise, project leadership and coordination in functional design and delivery.
• Provide functional advice to clients leveraging PeopleSoft HCM knowledge to meet goals and ensure efficiency.
• Lead analysis, design and configuration for OPS enterprise HR/Payroll system and related components.
• Analyze and prioritize defects and advise resolution; identify opportunities to improve design and configuration.
• Lead QA processes, defect tracking and testing for I&T solutions including PUM/UI upgrades.

PeopleSoft Functional/Quality Assurance Lead

• Pay Rate: Flexible - Onsite
• Location: Toronto, Ontario
• Contract Length: 10 Months

Responsibilities:

• Provide senior functional expertise, project leadership and coordination of activities in the functional design and delivery of the project.
• Provide functional advice to clients and team leveraging their PeopleSoft HCM functional knowledge to meet project Human Capital Management functional knowledge to meet goals and objectives ensuring efficiency.
• Provide specialized PeopleSoft HCM Functional expertise in leading the analysis, design and configuration of the Ontario Public Service (OPS) enterprise HR/Payroll system.
• Ability to analyze, evaluate and prioritize potential issues and provide advice on resolution.
• Suggest opportunities to improve design and configuration of PeopleSoft modules in use
• Lead system analysts and senior functional analysts' team for both OPS and Fee-for-service resources.
• Experience with quality assurance principles, practices, tools and structure methodology, including defect tracking and handling.
• Provide senior technical expertise, project leadership and coordination of activities in the testing of I&IT solutions -Peoplesoft PUM upgrade, Tools upgrade and turning on new features including UI changes
• Provide technical advice to clients and leverage OPS I&IT solutions and applications to meet program/service goals and objectives ensuring efficiency
• Provides specialized PeopleSoft HCM technical expertise in leading the testing the OPS enterprise HR/Payroll system
• Ability to analyze, evaluate and prioritize potential defects
• Suggests opportunities to improve testing quality or effort

Experience and Skill Set Requirements:

• Significant Knowledge of Human Resources and Payroll business functions especially as it related to the OraclePeopleSoft 9.2+ HCM applications and integration points, e.g. fluid, PUM upgrade, PS tools upgrade, including onboarding, benefits enrolment and life event management (30%)
• Experience leading functional teams to perform analysis, design and configuration for entire project lifecycle. (25%)
• Experience leading functional tests, system integration, load, performance, user acceptance, and payroll parallel testing for the PeopleSoft HCM application (20%)
• Experience with quality assurance principles, practices, tools and structure methodology, including defect tracking and handling. (15%)

Desirable Skills:
