Job summary

Centricity Research in the Greater Toronto Area, Ontario, is seeking a People Operations Generalist who thrives on delivering an exceptional employee experience while streamlining People processes across Canada and the U.S. This role partners with the Director of People Operations to support onboarding, benefits administration, HR reporting, compliance, and continuous improvement.

The position is fully remote, with residency in the GTA required for collaboration, and occasional in-person

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of progressive Human Resources or People Operations experience.
  • Experience supporting employees throughout the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, HR administration, benefits, employee relations, and compliance.
  • Knowledge of Canadian and U.S. employment practices or willingness to expand across regions.
  • Experience with Rippling or other HRIS platforms; HR certifications (SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent) are assets.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with leaders and employees across Canada and the U.S. to deliver an exceptional employee experience throughout the lifecycle.
  • Provide guidance on HR policies, employee relations, benefits, leave administration, and employment practices.
  • Manage onboarding, offboarding, employee records, HRIS, benefits administration, leave management, and compliance.
  • Prepare workforce reports and analyze People data to identify trends and support decision-making.
  • Drive continuous improvement by streamlining processes and leveraging HR technology, automation, and AI tools.
  • Support audits, policy updates, and organizational projects; provide backup for Talent Acquisition during high-volume periods.
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships to sustain a compliant and high-performing People Operations function.

From onboarding and benefits administration to employee relations, HR reporting, compliance, and process improvement,you'llplay a key role in ensuring our People Operations function runs smoothly and delivers outstanding service.

This is a fully remote position. To support collaboration and team connectivity, candidates must reside within the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), Ontario. Occasional in-person meetings or events may be required.

What You’ll Do

Partner with leaders and employees across Canada and the U.S. to deliver an exceptional employee experience throughout the entire employee lifecycle. Serve as a trusted resource on People Operations processes, providing guidance on HR policies, employee relations, benefits, leave administration, and employment practices while escalating complex matters asappropriate. Manage key People Operations processes, including onboarding, offboarding, employee records, HRIS administration, benefits administration, leave management, and compliance activities. Prepare workforce reports and analyze People data toidentifytrends, support decision-making, and provide insights that improve organizational effectiveness. Drive continuous improvement byidentifyingopportunities to streamline processes,optimizeworkflows, andleverageHR technology, automation, and AI tools to enhance efficiency andthe employeeexperience. Partner with the Director of People Operations on audits, compliance initiatives, policy updates, organizational projects, and other strategic People initiatives. Provide backup support for Talent Acquisition during periods of high hiring volume or planned absences, helping ensure a seamless candidate and hiring manager experience. Build strong cross-functional relationships while contributing to a collaborative, compliant, and high-performing People Operations function.

You Might Be a Great Fit If You:
  • You have 3–5 years of progressive Human Resources or People Operations experience.
  • You have experience supporting employees throughout the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, HR administration, benefits, employee relations, and compliance.
  • You understand both Canadian and U.S. employment practices or are eager to expand your knowledge across both regions.
  • You enjoy building relationships and are known for providing thoughtful, responsive support to employees and leaders.
  • You're highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • You enjoy working with data, preparing reports, and using insights to improve processes and support decision-making.
  • You're naturally curious about technology and enjoyleveragingHR systems, automation, and AI tools to improve efficiency and employeeexperiences.
  • You communicate professionally,maintainconfidentiality, and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive information.
  • Experience with Rippling or other HRIS platforms, recruitment support, or HR certifications (SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent) is considered an asset.
