Job summary

N-able Technologies Ltd. in Ottawa is seeking an HR support specialist to handle onboarding, employee relations, training, benefits, and confidential personnel records in a hybrid role.

You will ensure compliance, maintain personnel files, and support People projects, with a focus on accuracy and timely administration. Hybrid attendance at the Ottawa hub is required.

Qualifications

  • Certification in HR is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail with high level of accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; presentation skills.
  • Analytical and listening skills to understand, review, and analyze.
  • Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Perform pre- and post-employment validations per local compliance/legislation verifications.
  • Support and contribute to updating onboarding and new hire templates and onboarding documents.
  • Ensure employment permits and eligibility documents are properly maintained and reflect current statuses.
  • Maintain, record, report, and log information pertaining to employee personnel files.
  • Act as the first point of contact for employees and escalate issues as needed.
  • Manage HR compliance reporting for government statutory benefits and related paperwork.
  • Collect and compile People metrics from HRIS, payroll, surveys, and records.
  • Provide admin support for People department projects and events.
  • Assist audits and reporting to ensure People processes and data accuracy.

Responsible for providing administrative support for the People function, including, but not limited to, onboarding, employee relations, training, benefits, overseeing the maintenance of confidential personnel records, and other related areas.

Please note this is a hybrid position, therefore attendance at the Ottawa hub is required.

What You'll Do
  • Conduct pre- and post-employment validations per local compliance/legislation verifications.
  • Support and contribute to updating onboarding and new hire templates and onboarding documents (new tax forms, new welcome letters, and onboarding presentation slides).
  • Ensure employment permits and eligibility documents are properly maintained and reflect current and accurate statuses.
  • Maintain, record, report, and log information pertaining to employee personnel files.
  • Act as the first point of contact for employees by answering questions or escalating issues where appropriate.
  • Manage and perform HR compliance reporting and administration for all end-to-end government statutory benefits; handle all related paperwork.
  • Collect and compile People metrics and data from a variety of sources including HRIS, payroll outputs, employee surveys, employment records, and labor statistics.
  • Provide administrative support for People department projects and events as needed.
  • Responsible for the administration of regular audits and reporting to ensure People processes and data are accurately maintained. Utilize advance reporting, auto-scheduling, and dashboard reporting capabilities and recommend corrective action(s).

  • Strong attention to detail with high level of accuracy
  • Effective organizational and interpersonal skills including excellent written and verbal communication skills; good presentation skills.
  • Analytical and listening skills required to understand, review, and perform analysis.
  • Ability to multi-task and ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Previous HRIS experience a plus
  • Ability to work independently.

This position has a starting annualizedbase salary range of $46,300.00 to $58,500.00 per year. Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
