This individual will manage key HR functions including employee relations, compliance, onboarding, benefits administration, policy development, and participate in talent acquisition. The ideal candidate will bring strong knowledge of both U.S. and Canadian employment practices and will thrive in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.

  • Manage end-to-end onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure a seamless employee experience.
  • Support full-cycle recruitment efforts, including job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, and offer letters.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and drive an effective talent acquisition strategy.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state/provincial, and local employment laws and company policies across both countries.
  • Administer benefit programs (health, dental, vision, retirement, etc.) and coordinate open enrollment processes.
  • Handle employee relations matters, including performance issues, investigations, and conflict resolution, with professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records within UKG, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and communication of HR policies and procedures across the organization.
  • Collaborate with payroll and finance teams to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll.
  • Stay informed on changes to employment legislation and HR best practices in both the U.S. and Canada.
  • Support organizational development initiatives, such as training, performance management, and employee engagement efforts.
It would be amazing if you have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally in a generalist capacity, supporting both U.S. and Canadian employee populations.
  • Experience with full-cycle talent acquisition and recruiting best practices.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR compliance requirements in the U.S. and Canada.
  • Proficiency with UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) or similar HRIS systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a remote, fast-paced environment.
  • HR certifications such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, CHRP, or CHRL are considered an asset.
  • Strong proficiency in Office 365 (SharePoint).
