Job summary

ARCC CONSULTING LIMITED is seeking a Pension Calculation Analyst in Surrey with hybrid working arrangements (Office 2 days per week, WFH 3 days). The role focuses on defining and developing standard calculations, and aligning new calculation requirements with the operating model.

You will mentor junior team members within the Solutions Team, manage calculation development methodology, and collaborate across multiple projects.

  • Able to extract technical info from scheme rules/documentation and interpret into calculation development specs.

Responsibilities

  • Own the company methodology and process for calculation development, understanding dependencies on other systems and tasks.
  • Complete detailed analysis of new and existing calculations, scheme rules, technical documentation, and legislation to produce detailed calculation specifications.
  • Collaborate and communicate with other analysts, developers, client project analysts, and operations teams regarding implementations, projects and change.
  • Work with Product Manager to support new and existing product development related to calculations and related functions.
  • Support the introduction and adoption of new procedures through documentation and communication; support change within business areas.

The Role: The Pension Calculation Analyst is expected to mentor junior team members and play a lead role within the Solutions Team. A high-profile role, would suit someone with the ability to work across multiple projects at a time. Key responsibilities include:

  • Own the company methodology and process for calculation development, understanding the dependencies on other systems/business tasks.
  • Complete detailed analysis of new and existing calculations, scheme rules, technical documentation, legislation to produce detailed calculation specifications that provide the information needed to build and test the calculations.
  • Collaborate and communicate with other analysts, developers, client project analysts, technical and operations teams in respect of implementations, projects and change.
  • Work with Product Manager to support them on new and existing product development in relation to calculations and related functions and support business development opportunities.
  • Support the introduction and adoption of new procedures through documentation and communication. Support the introduction of change within business areas.

Skills / Experience Required: For the Pension Calculation Analyst role you must have strong DB & good DC technical knowledge & a detailed understanding of DB calculations (retirement/transfer/death calcs).

Additional Information: Salary for the Pension Calculation Analyst role is to £52,000 + professional study support & company pension. The working week is 2 days office & 3 days WFH.
