Job summary

HOOPP’s Pension Benefits & Policy team is looking for a Policy Advisor to support policy development, regulatory compliance, and benefits delivery for Ontario healthcare workers. You will develop and maintain Plan policies and procedures, interpret Plan provisions, and advise on changes to Plan documents with accuracy and risk awareness.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Pension Design & Strategy, you will work with cross‑functional teams, ensuring timely, compliant guidance and strong

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent training and experience.
• Registered Retirement Analyst, Pension Plan Administration Certificate, or CEP designation.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in the pension industry.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and maintaining Plan policies and procedures, and interpret Plan text.
• Provide policy and regulatory analysis to support Plan changes and compliance.
• Support communications with members, employers, and external stakeholders on policy matters.
• Monitor regulatory developments impacting pension plan design and administration.
• Collaborate across HOOPP teams to resolve issues within policy frameworks.
