Job summary

TELUS Health is seeking a Pension Analyst in Vancouver to administer pension plans and provide analytical support. You will respond to client inquiries, process benefit payments, and prepare annual statements with accuracy.

Ideal candidates have strong analytical skills, Excel proficiency, and fluent English communication; French is a plus. The role offers a flexible work arrangement, competitive compensation, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Mathematics/Statistics/Actuarial Science or related Pension Administration studies.
• Sharp analytical thinking and attention to details.
• Dedicated team player with initiative and independence.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English; French is an asset.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Respond to plan inquiries and client requests promptly and professionally.
• Calculate and process termination, retirement, and death benefits for plans.
• Prepare year-end pension statements accurately.
• Prepare membership and asset data for actuarial valuations.
• Apply and interpret pension benefit calculations per plan provisions and laws.
• Work with pension databases to ensure data accuracy.
• Attend internal training to stay updated on industry topics.
• Participate in client meetings and presentations to add value.
• Assist with special projects to support team goals.
