Job summary

TELUS Health is seeking a Pension Analyst in Vancouver to administer pension plans and provide analytical support. You will respond to client inquiries, process benefit payments, and prepare annual statements with accuracy.

Ideal candidates have strong analytical skills, Excel proficiency, and fluent English communication; French is a plus. The role offers a flexible work arrangement, competitive compensation, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Mathematics/Statistics/Actuarial Science or related Pension Administration studies.
• Sharp analytical thinking and attention to details.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

What You'll Do

As a Pension Analyst, you’ll play a critical role in administering pension plans and providing analytical and administration support. Here’s what you'll do:

• Respond to plan inquiries and requests from clients promptly and professionally
• Calculate and process timely payment of termination, retirement, and death benefits for medium-sized plans and review such for simple plans
• Prepare year-end annual pension statements accurately
• Prepare membership and asset data for actuarial valuations conscientiously
• Apply and interpret pension benefit calculations in accordance with plan provisions and legislative requirements
• Work with pension databases to ensure data accuracy
• Attend internal training sessions to stay updated on industry trends and topics
• Participate in client meetings and presentations to add value
• Assist with special projects as required to support team goals

What You Bring

We're looking for an experienced and skilled individual with:

• Post-secondary education (preferably in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science) or relevant courses related to Pension Administration
• Sharp analytical thinking and attention to details
• Dedicated team player who demonstrates initiative and independence
• Excellent organizational skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; French would be an asset
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Salary Range

$ 40,000 - $60,000

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience.
