Job summary

Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital in Toronto is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to support the Day Program. The role provides medical monitoring by qualified staff and helps clients continue in-hospital therapies, attend school, and return home in the evenings.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team, perform assessments, provide therapy for pediatric conditions, and contribute to teaching and research activities.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology.
• Current registration with CASLPO.
• Pediatric clinical experience preferred.
• Experience with assessment, consultation and therapy for pediatric populations.
• Effective communication within interdisciplinary teams.
• Flexibility and cooperation in dynamic environments.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provides consultation, assessment and counselling to clients and families around communication.
• Collaborates with a multi-disciplinary team to inform care plans.
• Uses standardized tests and outcome measures in clinical practice.
• Makes appropriate referrals to other services.
• Engages in teaching and supervision of students during placements.
• Participates in quality improvement and equity initiatives.
• Other duties as assigned.
