Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing (Essential).
• RN (EC) registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (Essential).
• Current membership in NPAO or RNAO (Essential).
• Current BLS for Health Care Providers (Essential).
• Ability to work in an interdisciplinary environment (Essential).
• Excellent communication and leadership in clinical practice (Essential).

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive patient assessments with history and physical exam.
• Develops plan of care with patient, family and team.
• Orders and prioritizes diagnostic tests and interprets results.
• Prescribes pharmacological and other therapies as appropriate.
• Coordinates care, discharges and transfer planning.
• Provides education to patients and caregivers and participates in program initiatives.
