Job summary

CHEO in Ottawa, ON is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) teams. You will provide focused nursing care for critically ill children under supervision, and collaborate with families.

You will be trained across NICU and PICU, participate in an orientation, and apply nursing processes per Ontario standards to support patient-centred care and family involvement.

Qualifications

• Nurse must hold a nursing degree and be registered with the CNO.
• Demonstrated family-centered care and strong communication abilities.
• PALS/CPR/NRP certifications or equivalent retraining required.
• Experience with pediatric acute/critical care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for pediatric patients and families.
• Use nursing process and adhere to Ontario standards and unit guidelines.
• Provide learning experiences for patients and families to support wellness.
• Maintain competence and contribute to patient safety and quality care.
