Job summary

CHEO is a leading pediatric health centre in Ottawa seeking a Float Team nurse to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care across pediatric services.

You will develop a broad range of pediatric skills, covering short-term needs or longer vacancies, while adhering to Ontario nursing standards and CHEO policies. Bilingual English/French preferred; CPR and CNO registration essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BScN) (Preferred).
• Minimum two years of pediatric experience (Preferred).
• Current Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) (Essential).
• Current CPR certification (Essential).
• Family-centered approach (Essential).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (Essential).
• Vulnerable Sector Check (Level 3) (Essential).
• Bilingualism (English/French) (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate pediatric nursing care for individual patients/families.
• Cover 'just in time' needs or longer-term vacancies as part of the Float Team.
• Practice according to the College of Nurses of Ontario standards and CHEO policies.
