Job summary

Alberta Health Services’ Stollery Children’s Hospital seeks a Diagnostic Sonographer I for the Pediatric Cardiology Clinic. You will perform fetal and pediatric echocardiographic exams, prepare patients, review histories, and acquire high-quality images.

Travel to outreach clinics is required while supporting cardiology and radiology teams. The role emphasizes patient safety, clinical intervention support, and collaboration with physicians in a family-centered care environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of extended diploma from an accredited ultrasound program.
• Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic & Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT).
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Responsibilities

• Perform Fetal and Pediatric Echocardiographic examinations.
• Prepare patients, review history, explain procedures and obtain diagnostic images.
• Assist radiologists and cardiologists, and travel to outreach sites as required.
