Job summary

Oak Valley Health is seeking a cardiac ultrasound technologist to perform adult and paediatric echocardiography exams in our Markham/Uxbridge hospitals. The candidate will work in a participative self-managed professional environment, demonstrate expertise across contrast echo, TEE and stress echo, and contribute to high-quality patient care.

Registration with CMRITO and RDCS, CARDUP membership and current BCLS are required, with at least 1 year of hospital echocardiography experience.

Qualifications

  • Registration with CMRITO.
  • Registration with RDCS designation.
  • Member of CARDUP.
  • Current BCLS.
  • Minimum 1 year full-time hospital experience in adult echocardiography.
  • Experience with Contrast Echo, TEE and Stress Echo is preferred.
  • Demonstrated excellent patient care skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
  • Ability to teach and evaluate students in their clinical placement.
  • Demonstrates good attendance and performance records.

Responsibilities

  • Perform adult and paediatric cardiac ultrasound exams independently.
  • Cover days, evenings, and nights on a casual basis with flexibility to work additional shifts.
  • Contribute to a patient-centred imaging program within a hospital setting.
