Job summary

Jimmy Jazz is hiring a Finishing Technician in Pembroke, Ontario. The role covers finishing operations, grading, strapping and forklift responsibilities, plus maintaining product quantity and quality while troubleshooting basic machine performance.

You will support operators, prepare pallets, check final product quality, and keep the work area organized and safe. Strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to lift up to 50 lb are essential.

• Ensure SKU machines are set up correctly.
• Make dunnage for pallets/carts and strapping of finished units.
• Maintain lift truck in proper working condition.
• Assist operators in maintenance and cleanup.
• Keep work area clean.
• Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
• Ability to work alone, self-motivated but also must be a team player.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to use a measuring tape.
• Basic computer skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

The Finishing Technician is responsible for performing in all areas of finishing including Grading, Strapping and Forklift. The Finishing Technician is also responsible for the maintenance of prescribed quantity and quality of product produced. Other responsibilities include troubleshooting machine basic performance, making adjustments and calling for additional resources as required.
