Job summary

Roseburg Forest Products is seeking a Finishing Technician to handle finishing steps including grading, strapping, and forklift operation. You will help maintain product quality, assist with equipment as needed, and keep work areas clean while following safety policies.

Responsibilities include pallet preparation, stacking finished goods, quality checks, and operating a forklift to move products to storage or staging areas.

Qualifications

• Proof of High School diploma or GED.
• Forklift experience is an asset.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work safely.
• Good communication, teamwork and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Prepare pallets/carts for finished products.
• Bundle and stack finished product according to specifications.
• Check quality of final product.
• Wrap, strap and label units and store with lift truck.
• Ensure SKU machines are set up correctly.
• Maintain lift truck in proper working condition.
• Assist operators in maintenance and cleanup.
• Keep work area clean.
• Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
• Ability to work safely; self-motivated but a team player.

The Finishing Technician is also responsible for the maintenance of prescribed quantity and quality of product produced. Other responsibilities include troubleshooting machine basic performance, making adjustments and calling for additional resources as required.
