Job summary

Canadian Industries LTD. in Vaughan is looking for a dedicated Paint Processor Operator – Mixer. In this full-time role, you will manage the manufacturing of production batches, ensuring adherence to quality standards and safety procedures.

The ideal candidate must demonstrate good time management, teamwork skills, and the ability to operate machinery effectively. You will work the second shift, starting at 3 PM and must be available for the first shift as needed.

Qualifications

  • Ability to manage through difficult and stressful situations.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds without mechanical assistance.
  • MUST pass the test fit for wearing a respirator.

Job description

Starting pay: $25.03 + $1 Shift Differential

Shift: 2nd Shift 3 pm - 1 am Monday to Thursday but must be able to work 1st Shift - 5:15 am to 3:15 pm Monday to Thursday as needed. Mandatory overtime on Friday when needed

As a Paint Processor Operator – Mixer you will be accountable for all aspects of the manufacturing of production batches to within specification following all procedures and practices to ensure the safe and efficient operation of equipment while maintaining Quality standards.

Job Responsibilities

Compliance:

  • Perform all duties according to SOP’s, GMP’s and all other established safety standards and company policies.
  • Correctly complete all documentation as per SOP’s and GMP requirements, i.e., observations, test results, batch record information, etc.
  • Notify management in the event of a departure from procedure, product defect, safety incident or other serious problem.
  • All Mixing operators are required to be test fitted to wear a respirator as part of the required PPE, along with other PPE.

Productivity and Operational Excellence:

  • Dismantle, clean, sanitize and assemble processing equipment according to established SOPs to ensure hygiene compliance.
  • Safely operate all required equipment and machinery including those used to manufacture, store, clean and transport production related assets
  • Execute applicable SAP transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Effectively process batches within specifications to meet department batch execution targets by ensuring optimal cycle times in support of schedule adherence.
  • Complete daily administrative tasks and in a timely manner
  • Ensure the proper selection, care and use of tools, parts and equipment while performing all job-related duties.
  • Escalate manufacturing related issues to the appropriate support groups (QA, Process, Maintenance, Operations) and help in the resolution and 5 why analysis.
  • Recommend and actively support the implementation of process improvement opportunities.
  • Assist in incident investigations and root cause analysis of FRB batches.
  • Maintain 5S standards.
