Job summary

Hyatt Regency Vancouver is seeking a dedicated and customer service–oriented individual to join the PBX Telephone Operations team as a Full-Time Operator. You will answer calls, assist guests, and coordinate with hotel departments to ensure smooth communication.

Starting wage is $25.83 per hour with progression to $30.14 after six months and $34.44 after one year. Candidates must be able to work Graveyard, Weekend and Holiday shifts in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service or switchboard experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Ability to work in a busy, fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
• Fluency in English; second language is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming internal and external calls according to Hyatt standards and transferring them to the appropriate extensions
• Handling basic guest questions and complaints with a focus on guest satisfaction and problem resolution
• Preparing, sorting, and handling internal written and verbal communication for both guests and fellow colleagues
• Recording and delivering wake up calls with 100% accuracy
• Receiving, tracking and following up on all guest requests and dispatching requests to the appropriate departments
• Handling emergency situations and dispatching emergency personnel
