Title: Payroll Technician

Salary: 75-85K (Relative to Experience)

Location: West Island

Start: ASAP

Responsibilities
  1. Process bi-weekly payrolls for several provinces and prepare journal entry reports.
  2. Manage all time and attendance functions for all employees, create profiles, maintain schedules and time cards, manage holidays and accrued hours, train supervisors, and produce reports.
  3. Verify new hire and agency employee files before payroll processing.
  4. Handle annual payroll declarations.
  5. Manage pension plan and group RRSP contributions and reconciliations.
  6. Update employee payroll information periodically.
  7. Support internal control evaluations and improvements.
  8. Provide reports to external departments, including attendance records.
  9. Participate in payroll-related ledger reconciliations, audits, and special projects.
  10. Support cross-training in all payroll areas.
Qualifications
  • ACP or PCP course required
  • 2-3 years of experience
  • Bilingual skills are an asset
  • Experience with ADP or other ERP systems is an asset
