Job summary

Portfolio Group is seeking an experienced Payroll Coordinator to cover Mat Leave for 18 months in Mississauga, Ontario. The role supports a multi-site environment, reporting to the HR Director, and involves onboarding/offboarding in ADP, union payroll considerations, and general HR support.

The ideal candidate has experience managing 170+ employees, strong Excel skills for timesheets, and year-end payroll duties (T4s, WSIB, EHT). ADP WFN and BambooHR familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• Onboarding and offboarding in ADP for new hires and separations.
• Experience handling union payroll, reviewing collective agreements and dues.
• Strong Excel skills to manage timesheets and hours.
• Year-end payroll tasks including T4s, WSIB, and EHT.
• Experience with ADP WFN and BambooHR is an asset.
• Excellent communication, both in person and by phone.

Responsibilities

• Support payroll for 170+ salaried and hourly employees in ON.
• Coordinate onboarding and offboarding in ADP.
• Review collective agreements and manage union dues as needed.
• Maintain timesheets in Excel and prepare payroll data for runs.
• Handle year-end processes including T4s, WSIB, and EHT.
• Collaborate with ADP partner on payroll runs and HR needs.

Role: Payroll Coordinator – Mat Leave Cover

Duration: 18 months

Location: Mississauga 5 days

Our client is seeking an experienced payroll and HR professional to support their multi-site environment

Reporting to the HR Director the ideal candidate will have experience with;

• managed 170+ salaried and hourly employees in ON
• handling employee onboarding and off boarding into ADP
• experience working with union employees – reviewing collective agreements, handling dues etc.
• comfortable using excel to manage time sheet hours
• year end payroll experience, reivewing the T4s, WSIB, EHT etc.
• systems experience with ADP WFN and BambooHR is considered an asset
• strong communicator, ability to answer inquries in person and over the phone
• ability to work with ADP partner regarding payroll runs
• supporting HR and recruitment needs on an as needs basis
• PCP considered an asset
