Job summary

Canadian Natural is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Collections Analyst in Calgary to serve as a key liaison between employees and internal stakeholders throughout the payroll collections process. You will coordinate recoveries, maintain records, update documentation, and communicate clearly and empathetically with staff.

Ideal candidates bring 2+ years in payroll or financial operations, strong Excel skills, and a professional approach to confidentiality.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of related experience in payroll, collections, or financial operations.
• Experience in payroll, finance, accounting, or related discipline with exposure to collections or account reconciliation is an asset.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal skills with ability to handle sensitive conversations and maintain confidentiality.
• Knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation and payroll administration practices.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, to analyze data and reconcile information.

Responsibilities

• Manage employee payroll collection cases from initiation through resolution, ensuring timely and accurate administration.
• Review and validate collection calculations to support recovery activities and maintain payroll accuracy.
• Partner with Payroll, Human Resources, Finance, Legal, and employees to communicate collections details clearly and professionally.
• Maintain accurate records, ensuring all case documentation is complete, compliant, and audit-ready.
• Monitor recovery activities to ensure repayment commitments are fulfilled and issues are resolved promptly.
