The Keg Steakhouse + Bar in Richmond, BC is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll & Benefits Administrator to join our team. You will report to the Senior Manager of Payroll and oversee payroll for US employees, with backup for Canada, ensuring accurate processing and regulatory compliance.

In addition to payroll, you will administer benefits programs, coordinate with Finance and HR, support year-end activities, and provide analytics to leadership.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field.
• US payroll experience is required.
• 2-5 years of experience administering multi-state US payroll and employee benefits.
• Strong understanding of payroll tax requirements, wage and hour laws, and benefits administration.
• Experience with payroll and HRIS systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information.

Aufgaben

• Process bi-weekly payroll for employees across US and a backup for our Canada regions
• Maintain employee payroll records including new hires, terminations, promotions, compensation changes, and leave statuses
• Validate payroll data including regular earnings, overtime, bonuses, commissions, deductions, garnishments, and benefit contributions
• Ensure accurate federal, state, and local payroll tax withholding and reporting
• Reconcile payroll registers, payroll-related GL accounts, and benefit deductions
• Coordinate payroll funding and support month-end and year-end close activities
• Support year-end payroll activities, including W-2 processing and payroll audits
• Manage wage garnishments, child support orders, and levies in accordance with state-specific requirements
• Prepare payroll reports and analytics for Finance leadership
