Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in full payroll cycle, preferably in high-volume payroll.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications and ERP system administration.

Responsibilities

DMC is currently looking for a Payroll & Benefits Specialist to join our team on a permanent basis in our Vaughan, ON office. The Payroll & Benefits Specialist will be responsible for administrating, processing and managing payroll for site employees according to payroll schedules.

Responsibilities:
  1. Responsible for payroll processing.
  2. Collecting, reviewing, and uploading Timesheets from Dynamics 365 ERP system from all sites into Avanti (in-house payroll system) before the payroll deadline.
  3. Training and Standardizing Payroll Processes for all Payroll Clerks across the multiple sites.
  4. Providing a reconciliation of all the hours by site and employee.
  5. Provide Tools, Training and Support to Payroll Clerks on New Project Start Ups.
  6. Building relationships with Multiple Teams.
  7. Collaborating with Human Resources and Sites to ensure the integrity of employee records by collecting and verifying payroll site related information for processing information in Dynamics 365 ERP system.
  8. Collaborating with other Team Members related to Payroll to ensure continuity between Departments.
  9. Organization of payroll site files (Timesheets) and records for auditing purposes.
  10. Facilitating change management efforts to support client groups with transforming Payroll processes with ongoing digital transformation initiatives; executing Payroll sub projects; and participating in focus groups when required.
  11. Partnering with client groups to understand and address business issues, while leveraging opportunities to develop strategic Payroll initiatives.
  12. Working with assigned client groups to identify and plan for Payroll requirements to meet short- and long-term business requirements.
  13. Supporting corporate special projects, including Payroll Project Development, Training, and Roll-out.
  14. Acting as first point of contact responding to inquiries and handling site concerns in a timely manner.
  15. Developing and implementing Payroll training programs.
  16. Other related duties, as may be assigned.
  17. Travel to sites once a quarter.
Qualifications:
  1. National Payroll Institution, PCP Designation preferred, but not required.
  2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a full payroll cycle, ideally with experience in high-volume payroll functions.
  3. Proficient with Microsoft applications (Excel, Word).
  4. Experience in ERP system administration, ideally with Dynamics 365 is highly preferred.
  5. Excellent time management skills and ability to work within tight deadlines.
  6. Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail and accuracy a must.
  7. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
