Job summary

Amica Mature Lifestyles Inc. is seeking a Payroll & Benefits Coordinator to manage the full payroll cycle for multiple residences across Ontario and British Columbia.

Reporting to the Payroll Supervisor, you will ensure accuracy, regulatory compliance, and timely processing for a large employee base. You will bring 3–5 years of Canadian payroll experience, ADP Workforce Now expertise, and strong knowledge of provincial employment standards.

Qualifications

  • 3 - 5 years of Canadian payroll experience with strong customer service.
  • ADP Workforce Now payroll system experience is required.
  • Certified Payroll Practitioner (PCP) is an asset.
  • In-depth knowledge of provincial employment standards and legislation.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
  • Solid understanding of payroll processes especially in unionized environments.

Responsibilities

  • Process full cycle payroll for up to 9 residences across ON and BC bi-weekly.
  • Support up to 9 residences with an overall average of 1,200+ employees.
  • Ensure payroll and benefits transactions are accurately reported and recorded while maintaining compliance with tax laws, regulations, and company policy.
  • Administer employee benefit plans and ensure deductions are set up accurately in ADP Workforce Now.
  • Prepare standard and complex payroll reports and respond to inquiries from employees.

Expected Salary Range :$61,000 to $76000

Maximum Bonus Potential : 15% target bonus, that rewards exceptional performance.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Payroll Supervisor, the Payroll & Benefits Coordinator will be responsible for managing the full cycle for up to 9 residences ensuring compliance, accuracy, timely and data integrity are met.

What you will be doing
  • Process and manage full cycle of a high-volume employees in a multi-provincial (ON, BC) bi-weekly (hourly/ salaried) payroll using ADP Workforce Now system ensuring deadlines and accuracy standards are met.
  • Supporting up to 9 residences with an overall average of 1,200+ employees.
  • Ensure all payroll and benefits transactions are accurately reported and recorded while maintaining compliance with tax laws, regulations, and company policy.
  • Detailed knowledge of Canadian payroll regulations such as taxable benefits, calculation of vacation/ statutory pay/ severance pay etc.
  • Process WCB/WSIB remittances, EHT year – end reporting, new hires, employee changes, termination, ROEs, garnishments, T4 slips and other year-end reporting activities.
  • Administer employee benefit plan, ensure benefit deductions and taxable benefits are set up accurately in ADP Workforce now.
  • Ensure company policies and government requirements are being followed as they relate to payroll.
  • Maintain confidentiality of personal files and payroll information.
  • Prepare reports as required. Generate standard and complex reports.
  • Respond to all payroll and benefits related inquiries from employees as required.
  • Deal with multiple complex unionized environments.
  • Maintain employee records for BC wage level along with their base rate.
  • Prepare reports for wage level program.
  • Dealing with workers compensation board, providing necessary information.
  • Communicate with various government agencies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What you will bring
