Job summary

Newport Williams is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our Shared Services team in Vaughan. This hands-on, onsite role manages full-cycle payroll for Canadian and US operations, requiring strong ADP Workforce Now skills and multi-jurisdiction compliance.

You will process end-to-end payroll, reconcile data, respond to inquiries, and support audits. The ideal candidate has PCP certification, at least 1 year US payroll experience, and a keen eye for detail to meet tight deadlines.

Qualifications

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our client's Shared Services team in Vaughan. This is a hands-on, onsite position responsible for managing full-cycle payroll across both Canadian and US operations. The ideal candidate brings strong technical skills in ADP Workforce Now, a solid grasp of multi-jurisdiction compliance, and the ability to thrive in a high-volume environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Process end-to-end payroll for a high-volume, multi-province Canadian workforce, including both hourly and salaried employees with complex pay structures
• Administer US payroll across multiple states, ensuring compliance with applicable federal and state regulations
• Manage payroll runs accurately and on schedule using ADP Workforce Now (WFN)
• Reconcile payroll data, resolve discrepancies, and respond to employee inquiries in a timely manner
• Ensure compliance with provincial and state tax requirements, statutory deductions, garnishments, and remittances
• Maintain payroll records and support internal and external audits
• Collaborate with HR and Finance on payroll-related reporting and year-end processes (T4s, W-2s, ROEs)

Requirements
