Changes made to hours of work will follow the terms of the applicable collective agreement, company policy and/or legislation.WHAT YOU’LL DO:Reporting to the Manager, Finance, the Payroll Analyst works in collaboration with all stakeholders and information partners committed to data integrity and process improvement with an ability to see beyond the numbers. Assumes key responsibilities for processing and analysing payroll data.Key responsibilities:Analysis of payroll information including investigation, problem solving, presentation and reportingAnalyze and reconcile key payroll issuesAssists with the ongoing audit and compliance of payrollCollaborates with finance, human resources and other stakeholders to ensure standard practices, quality assurance and adherence to legislative requirementsTeam player to support initiatives in payroll and act as a change agentAssist departments with monthly operating payroll account analysisAssists with running bi-weekly payroll in the ERP systemAssists with the preparation of payroll related remittancesAssists in the year saend financial audit processAssists with the preparation of monthly payroll journal entriesUpdates the general ledger for both month-end and year-end closing pertaining to all financial sub-systemsWHAT YOU’LL BRING:Graduate of a post secondary accounting/business programPayroll Compliance Practitioner Required3+ years of analytical experience working in finance or payroll.
