Job summary

University Health Network (UHN) is seeking a Payroll Administrator to join the People & Culture team at Toronto General Hospital. This temporary full-time role supports payroll processing for ~20,000 employees, with bi-weekly cycles, year-end reconciliations, and audit support.

You will handle inquiries, ensure ESA and collective agreement compliance, and assist with onboarding and termination payments. Qualified candidates have PCP designation, at least two years payroll experience, and strong

Qualifications

• Two years payroll administration experience.
• PCP designation required.
• Experience with HRIS systems (VIP HRIS preferred).
• Healthcare environment experience is an asset.
• Strong knowledge of ESA regulations and union environments.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll transactions accurately and on time across client groups.
• Respond to payroll inquiries with professionalism and confidentiality.
• Assist with year-end reconciliations and audits.
• Prepare Record of Employments and manage terminations and salary changes.
• Support onboarding and bi-weekly payroll runs; handle off-cycle runs.
• Ensure compliance with policies, collective agreements, and legislation.
