Job summary

Livingston International in Toronto is seeking a Payroll Accounting Analyst to join our Financial Accounting team. You will manage payroll account reconciliations, analyze G/L entries, and ensure timely posting in line with US GAAP and company policies.

This role supports close processes, audits, and improvement projects, requiring strong Excel and Ceridian experience along with keen attention to detail and the ability to collaborate with HR and Finance.

Qualifications

• 2 years of payroll accounting experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting
• Knowledge of US GAAP and company policies
• Experience with payroll reconciliations and journal entries
• Strong analytical and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Carries out the full payroll accounting cycle.
• Prepares reconciliations and analysis of payroll G/L accounts including payroll clearing, net pay, tax, deductions, incentives, and vacation liability.
• Creates monthly payroll related journal entries.
• Investigates data quality issues and resolves issues with HR/Payroll.
• Leads projects to improve quality of payroll account reconciliations.
• Participates in close processes and audits.
• Performs other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
