Job summary

Accenture Consulting in Canada is seeking a Banking - Payments Manager to design and implement strategic payment solutions for Consumer and Commercial clients across the region. You will lead engagements, define requirements, and drive end-to-end payment projects from design through deployment.

The role requires deep payments domain expertise, leadership skills and the ability to collaborate with senior executives across Canada, the US and beyond in a fast‑paced, global environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years relevant experience in payments domain.
• Payments industry expertise in alternative/emerging payments.
• Understanding of end-to-end payments lifecycle.
• Business Architecture - Applied in solution planning, and requirements definition and analysis
• Baseline understanding of the principles of technology.
• Experience leading a team and managing resources
• A bachelor’s degree
• Excellent leadership, communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
• English is required for this position as this role will regularly interact with stakeholders across Canada, US and other countries across our Global footprint where English is the common language. Due to the significant high volume of interactions with these English-speaking stakeholders, which is inherent to this position, it is not possible to reorganize the company’s activities to avoid this requirement

Responsibilities

• Develop world-class business and technology solutions for Consumer and Commercial Payments clients across a wide range of payment methods.
• Participate in process design, requirements gathering, and functional design as part of Payments systems implementation engagements.
• Become a trusted advisor for senior executives looking to solve a critical business problem
• Conduct operating model assessments (people, process, org) and client needs assessments.
• Define clients’ business and technology strategy.
• Perform vendor assessment and due diligence of packaged platforms
• Manage all parts of projects, from client buy-in to planning, budgeting, deliverables and risk assessment
• Deliver payments systems implementation engagements (requirements, design, test, deployment, etc.).
• Source and coordinate work from other internal workforces.
• Participate in the development of best-in‑class, reusable assets.
• Participate in business development to originate new client opportunities.
