Job summary

FortisBC is seeking a Payments & Collections Manager in British Columbia to lead a team responsible for payment processing, collections, and dispute resolution. The role emphasizes operational excellence, customer experience, and regulatory compliance, with a focus on continuous improvement and cross‑functional collaboration.

The position offers workplace flexibility and a competitive salary package. A 18‑month temporary contract is available, with a flexible work program allowing up to 85 days

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance or related field; 5 years’ recent, related leadership experience.
• Valid BC Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, coaching, performance management, and workforce planning for management and unionized staff.
• Optimize processes and technologies, strengthen cross-functional partnerships, and handle escalated customer concerns.
• Oversee daily payment processing, collections, and accounts receivable to ensure accurate billing and strong cash flow.
• Manage receivables, budgets, vendor performance, audits, and internal controls while resolving complex payment issues.
