Job summary

Thomas Cavanagh Construction Limited in Eastern Ontario is hiring for May 2026 on Mainline and Commercial/Residential paving crews. You will operate paving machines to lay asphalt, monitor material flow, and ensure quality and safety standards while meeting project deadlines.

The role requires 5 years of experience in paving, the ability to work in all weather, and strong communication with supervisors and teammates. A valid driver's license and safety training are essential.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in paving or related construction work.
• Experience operating paving machines is preferred.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Utilize paving machines to apply asphalt onto roadbeds, laneways, and parking lots.
• Monitor material distribution during operation and adjust machine settings as needed.
• Identify low spots or areas requiring extra material and communicate corrections to workers.
