Qualifications
2+ years of experience operating a Paver.
Ability to communicate with supervisors and co-workers in a courteous, professional manner.
Valid Class 5 driver’s license or better.
Own vehicle to get to and from job site.
Willingness to work overtime, night shifts, weekends, as required.
Must comply with the company's drug & alcohol program, including testing.
Responsibilities
Operate the paver and other equipment safely and efficiently.
Ensure the asphalt mix is placed to the correct grade and thickness.
Maintain correct speed and move the paver in a straight line.
Perform daily maintenance and safety inspections.
Preheat the paving screed before asphalt placement.
Monitor and control asphalt mixture temperatures.
Coordinate with trucks delivering asphalt to the paver.
