The Patrol Communications & Operations Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting the daily functions of the Patrol Team by overseeing real-time communications, managing incident investigations, documentation, and coordinating logistical and administrative operations. This position serves as the central point of contact for all radio traffic and Patrol activity, ensuring efficient information flow, timely response coordination for multiple departments, and accurate post-incident data collection.

What you will be doing:
- Maintain constant radio and digital communication with on-hill Patrol Team Members, Lift Operators, and other WinSport departments.
- Log and monitor all incident reports, tracking callouts, first aid responses, and operational updates.
- Provide administrative support, including database management, scheduling, filing, payroll, and document organization.
- Coordinate response efforts in emergency situations and assist with activating WinSport-wide safety protocols.
- Ensure thorough documentation of incidents, including preliminary investigations, witness coordination, and detailed reporting.
- Assist in compiling and analyzing incident data to identify trends and support safety improvements.
- Communicate with outside agencies (EMS, CFD, CPS) during emergencies or major incidents.
- Help maintain the confidentiality and integrity of sensitive medical and operational records.
- Support the patrol team with logistical needs such as equipment tracking, supply ordering, and shift coordination.
What you bring:
- Prior experience in an administrative or operations role, preferably in a safety-critical or emergency response environment.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a dynamic setting.
- Familiarity with radio communication protocols and emergency dispatch principles is an asset.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and incident tracking software.
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Intermediate (formerly Standard) First Aid Certificate; Advanced First Aid is an asset.
- Class 5 Driver's License is an asset, with the ability to provide a clean driver abstract.
You will be:
- Based primarily in the Patrol base of operations.
- Occasional on-hill travel (ski/snowboard or mountain bike) may be required.
- Work in a fast-paced environment with high demand during peak ski season and inclement weather days.
- Utilize manual dexterity and computer skills.
