Job summary

Vancouver Island Health Authority (Island Health) is seeking a Patient Porter to support patient care staff by transporting patients within hospital. The role reports to the Manager or designate and utilizes a computerized dispatch system.

Qualifications

• Grade 10 education plus one year recent related experience or equivalent.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Ability to deal with others effectively.
• Physical ability to perform duties.

• Ability to organize workload.
• Ability to operate equipment such as a computerized dispatch system.

Responsibilities
