Job summary

FYidoctors Bedford - Nine Mile Drive clinic is seeking a Patient Services Specialist to join our team in Nova Scotia. You will greet patients, coordinate appointments, and support billing while ensuring a positive patient experience.

This full-time role requires flexibility across Monday to Saturday operations, with travel within a 20 km radius. A collaborative, patient-first environment and ongoing training await the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service focus with patient interaction experience.
• Clear and empathetic communication, both in person and via phone/email.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced clinic environment.
• Proficiency with computers and common software tools, especially MS Office.
• Collaborative team player with adaptability and proactive mindset.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients, manage check-in/check-out, and engage with patients in person, by phone, and via email.
• Perform pre-testing to support comprehensive eye care.
• Coordinate appointments, prepare prescription printouts, and manage billing and payments.
• Manage eyewear pick-ups and perform minor repairs/adjustments on eyewear.
• Deliver exceptional customer service ensuring a positive patient experience.
• Support clinic operations with additional duties as required.
