FYidoctors Wolfville, FYidoctors Berwick and FYidoctors New Minas are seeking a Patient Services Specialist to deliver exceptional service in a casual, part-time role. You will greet patients, handle check-in/out, and support eye-care services with appointments, billing and eyewear coordination.

Ideal candidates have strong communication skills, comfort with MS Office, and a collaborative mindset to thrive in a fast-paced clinic environment that values teamwork.

Qualifications

• Previous retail experience is considered an asset.
• Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with technology and computers, including MS Office Suite.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for patient service.
• Collaborative, adaptable and proactive team player who can handle changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients to the clinic, manage check-in/check-out, and engage via in-person, phone, and email.
• Perform pre-testing to support comprehensive eye care.
• Coordinate appointments, prepare prescription printouts, and manage billing and payments.
• Manage eyewear pick-ups and perform minor repairs and adjustments.
• Deliver exceptional customer service ensuring a positive patient experience.
• Support clinic operations by performing additional duties as required.

Our FYidoctors Wolfville, FYidoctors Berwick and FYidoctors New Minas clinics are looking for someone like you to bring your exceptional skills and experience and join us as a Patient Services Specialist to fill an existing vacancy!

In this role, you’ll deliver exceptional service and support, enhancing the lives of our patients in a dynamic, and rewarding environment that values teamwork and collaboration.

This position is a casual role working 0-19 hours per week. Our clinic is open Monday to Saturday.

What You’ll Do

• Greet and welcome patients to the clinic, manage patient check-in and check-out and engage with patients in person, by phone, and via email
• Perform pre-testing to support comprehensive eye care
• Coordinate appointments, prepare prescription printouts, and manage billing and payments
• Manage eyewear pick-ups and perform minor repairs and adjustments on eyewear
• Deliver exceptional customer service ensuring a positive patient experience
• Support clinic operations by performing additional duties as required
