Job summary

Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre is seeking a Part-Time Special Aide in the Patient Food Services team. You will assist in assembling, distributing, pickup and cleanup of patient meals and nourishments, with potential work in the beltline, dish room or pot room.

Maintain sanitary work areas in line with sanitation codes and health and safety guidelines. The role requires a High School Diploma, and a Food Service Worker certificate is preferred, with about six months of healthcare food

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Food Service Worker / Dietary Aide Certificate preferred.
• Six months experience in food service, preferably in a health care setting.

Responsibilities

• As the Special Aide you will be responsible for the accurate, orderly and efficient assembly, distribution, pickup and cleanup of patient meals/nourishments.
• May be required to work on the patient beltline, dish room and/or pot room.
• Ensure work areas, equipment and storage areas remain organized and sanitary per the Sanitation Code.
• Follow Health & Safety guidelines to provide a safe and supportive environment for all clients.
